Invicta was started by Raphael Picard in 1837 in La-Chaux-de-Fonds – a town in Switzerland that is thought to be the epicenter of horological achievements. Invicta watches were sought after throughout the 1800’s and 1900’s, up until the quartz revolution led by Japanese watchmakers in the early 1970’s.
Invicta is Latin for ‘invincible’, and in 2001 they rebounded with Eyal Lalo – a third generation watchmaker at the helm. Invicta has since stayed in a position of power, with a combination of bold designs on sale, and amazingly cheap price points. Invicta has hundreds of designs in constant production, which is a cornerstone of the brand’s continued success.
